Chapters 1-2 Chapter 1.Micheal was in the house worrying about his sister and a there was a doctor called Dr Death to micheal but it wasn't his real name. The estate agent was talking about how they could make it all look nice and how they could even make the crumbling garage look nice.Chapter 2. this chapter is about michael trying to look into the garage and what the garage looks like on the inside and how the whole building looked like it could just collapse. He went inside and he heard noises coming from the corner but his is mother called him to keep out of the garage.(Daniel Abbott) Chapters 3-4
Michael had a little baby sister which is very poorly and Michael had to help his Dad a lot because they were decorating there new house that they moved in and he didn't get to play like the othe kids and sometimes he had to miss school but when Michael did have some free time he tried to check if the Man in the garage was ok and the man said "Go away" and he kept saying it even if Michael tried to ask him if he could get anything for him he would still say "Go Away" and Michael just backed of because his Mum and Dad were shouting on him and they told Michael he wasn't aloud in there so Michael said just coming and he luckily got away with it.
Chapters 5-6
Micheal wondered if the garage was going to be cleared out but his mum didn't know. Before Micheal had moved he was asked if he wanted to change school but he wanted to stay at Kenny Street High and stay with his friends. He went on the bus to school and saw all the people looking dreamily out the window. He thought about telling everyone what happened about the man in the garage but he held it in. It was strange for Micheal to be at school again everything at school stayed the same before he had moved including his teachers. When Micheal was on the field he thought what happened was all just a dream.
At home Micheal's dad was fixing the hole where the old toilet and gas fire had been. He made quite a mess and was quite annoyed. He put the toilet into the overgrown garden. In the garden Micheals dad found a parcel of 4 dead birds one of the birds were a fossilised pigeon. When Micheals dad went for a bath Micheal decided to go into the garage to see if the wierd man was still there so he went in.
Chapter 7 Michael went back in to the shead in the garden where the guy was and started speaking to him. The guy was coverd in cod webs and had a squeekey voice. He was asking Michael for some asprin and 27 and 53, but Michael didnt no what 27 and 53 was. Then Michael started walking back in to the house when a girl over the wall said "are you the new boy." Dad came down from the bath and started moaning that there was no food for tea so he said "lets have a takeaway." He asked Michael what he wanted and Michael said "27 and 53." Dad then rung up the Chinese round the corner and orderd up what everyone wanted. He then gave Michael the money for it and he ran round to collect it. When Michael got back his Mum and baby sister were there. They all started eating there food and Michael had left half of his. Dad reached over and tried to have it but Michael coverd it with his arm and said "you'll get fat." They had a little argument. Chapter 9-10
At the start of chapter nine it is talking about mina a girl that michael has met.Him and his dad are decorating there new house ,when they go out into the garden for a break .They spot a girl across the street on a thick tree branch. This is were michael finds out how interested mina is in birds and the world.She likes drawing everything around her and the little deatils that other people dont see .you also find out that his little sister does not have a name and thats why you never heard them saying a name for her. That night he cant seem to get to sleep so he goes downstairs queitly and gets number 27-53 and puts it into a the little take away trays. Gets asprin from the bathroom cuboard.He heads out to the old garge switches the torch on and steps inside Gives the man what he said he wanted number 27-53 and some asprin. Michael asks him somethings about how he could get dr death to come look at him . the man in the coner said no and michael asked him if he needed anything else ."NOTHING" said the man. asked him to leave the asprin .Michael went back to bed .(alexandra Buchan)
Chapters 11 and 12
At the start of chapter 11 Michaels dad wakes up and he has a really sore back. He asks for some aspirin but there's none. At school Michael is learning about evolution. He asks his teacher if humans will keep evolving. He says "who knows". Michael asks what shoulder blades are for he say that his mother told him something but we don't know what it is yet. Mrs Dando asks about the baby Michael says he worrys but shes ok. a man talks to him on the bus. Michael tells him about the man in the garage. His mum is crying at is new house she is sad for the baby. Michaels mum tells him shoulder blades are where our wings were. He thinks about telling her about the man but he dosen't.
(nathan Scott) Chapters 13-14 Well he is talking to Mina and he is telling her that his sister is still in hospital.and she looks like she is going to die.Mina is asking if he wanted to go to a secret place were nobody knows about. At first he doesnt know if he should go but in the end he goes. They are running down the road then they turned into a dark walkway type thing were the houses were bigger and there were trees in the gardens it was called Crow Road, They stopped outside a dark green grate and Mina opens the gate. As the walk into the garden of this strange place Micheal feels something rub his leg, its a cat, minas cat called whisper.it was a house with blackened stone and thw windows were boarded up, there was a sign on the door which said "DANGER" but it was just up there to keep people out.they went inside and Mina was leading Micheal up the stairs in compleat darkness.they went up into the atic and lay on the ground and mina was telling him to be quiet and look by the window were the was only a circle of light coming in from the fading sun. In the atic there were owls and a nest and mina went there most of the time.She told Micheal not to tell anyone on the way back from the House.In Chapter 14 it begins with Micheal and his dad and Micheal isnt going to school that day so he was going to help his dad make up the house so he is outside cutting down the "Jungle" in the backyard. him and his dad were watching the blackbird fly in and out of their garden. after they went to the hospital to see the baby and his mum was there, the baby had tubes and wires coming out it it and on the way home his dad told him to go and play with mina for a while. Chapter 16 - 17
In these chapters Michael goes and gives Skellig more 27 and 53. Also Michael found out that Skellig had known about 27 and 53 and that he had heard people ordering it inside the house before Michael moved in. The baby is still in hospital and he doesn't know when they are going to get out. Michael talks to Skellig about bringing Mina to come and see him. When Michael see's Mina again she talks about how she thinks home schooling is better than traditional schooling. Then she sings a song about it. After that Michael finds out about the chicks in the tree in Mina's garden. Michael then tells her that he is going to show her something later.
Chapters 18 & 19
Michael is in the car and does not know what to do and he is saying to his Dad that he might want to play out with Mina and that he learns a lot of scientific facts from her. Also Dad was saying that Mrs Dando was on the phone asking how Michael is feeling. The baby is still in hospital in her incubator but her tubes and wires weren't connected to her. A doctor named Doctor Bloom came to see how the baby is. Michael walks into the hospital, gets into a lift and follows a few signs to get to Ward 34. Michael walks over towards Doctor MacNabola and with him are a few students, Michael asks about Arthritis and how it can be cured.Michael steps into the lift he came up in, and he goes back ti the babies ward. There he found his Mum and Dad with the baby.
In chapter nineteen Michael arrives at Mina's house and he is looking for her in the garden. He walks to the front door rings the bell and Mina's mother answers it. Michael asks 'where is Mina' and she replies 'she is here'. They introduce themselves and Michael walks into Mina's home. Mina's Mother asks about the baby and Mina comes through and she says to Michael that she is modelling. Mina, Michael and Mina's Mother walk through to the kitchen where Mina was modelling. Mina tells her Mum that she has told Michael about William Blake. Mina then wants to go for a walk with Michael and she tells her Mum if that is okay, Mina's Mother says that is fine but she has to get tidied up first.

Chapters 20-21
Mina and MIchael go into the garage with brown ale and cod liver tablets. Michael worries Mina may see nothing, that skellig is just his imagination. Mina meets skellig. Michael pours brown ale into skelligs mouth, "Nectar, drink of the gods," Says skellig. Skellig claims he needs no doctors, Mina and for them to leave him alone and do nothing. Mina thinks skellig has calcification, a progress in which the bones harden and become inflexible, the progress in which the body turns to stone. MIchael gives skellig more beer and Skellig wants Mina to leave. Michael and Mina offer to take Skellig somewhere where its safer, and nobody would know. Skellig doesn't say a word. Whisper the cat appears, and brushes up against Skellig. Michael hands Skellig a cod liver tablet which Skellig swallows with brown ale. Michael and Mina stand in the garden, and make a plan to take Skellig out at Dawn. They say they'll call each other by hooting like owls. Mina opens her hand to show Michael the dark ball of congealed skin and bone she brought out with her. Michael goes to see his dad and they drank orange juice up against the house wall.

Chapters 24-25
Michael and Mina return to Mina's grandfathers old house to see Skellig except he isn't where they left him. They then go up the first flight of stairs and find him half way up. It turned out Skellig wanted to go somewhere higher and was trying to get up himself. Mina then goes to check he is ok and takes off his jacket and they find on his back what they expected wings. Michael then goes back to the hospital to see the baby. On the way to the car park Michael bumps into the woman with arthritis who he met earlier in the book she is still going three times round every landing and up and down the lift three times. Later in the car Michael is trying to hold back tears but can't do anything but think about the baby's safety. Chapters 28/29
Coot's uncle is a builder and he said they should knock down the shed then coot starts mucking about pretending to shoot the blackbird. Michael's Dad says they should all just go and have a kick about. Leakey and Coot end up thinking that Micheal is going to be home schooled by mina's mum and they got all angry and started to call Mina names like "the monkey girl" but mina comes out and gets into an argument with Michael calling him a fool and stuff. He then went to the wilderness and was about to cry but just stopped himself.

Chapters 30/31
Micheal has a dream about slellig being in the room in the hospial with his baby sister in, skellig flys away with her and comes to micheals house and calles to him with the baby in his arms. soon he wakes up and goes around to the house where skellig is and finds mina, they both apologise to each other for what they said then make there way into the house to look for skellig. After searching for a while they find no trace of him but when they listened they heard his breathing and followed it to the attic where skellig was sitting in the window being fed by birds. they go up to him and speak for a while and then they join hands and spin around, micheal thinks that mina has ghost like wings sprouting out of her back. when he wakes up he is lying on the attic floor with mina when they are leaving skellig tells them not to forget this night. when he arives home dad id worried sick about him so in the end they made up the excuse they were sleepwalking.

Chapters 32/33
Michael was out side seeing Skellig at night with Mina and Michaels dad came out and seen them but Michael told his dad he was sleepwalking and Mina seen him from her window. So Dr Death was round the next day to see if everything was alright with Michael. Michael asked Dr Death about Ernie Myers who lived in the house before them and asked if he had saw thing like angels and stuff. Michael went to school the next day and he wrote an amazing story for Miss Clarts. Mrs Moore came in during class and asked he could see Michael in her office, but Michael had done nothing wrong, his dad was on the phone. Michaels baby sister is going into hospital again, but his dad said everything would be alright.

Micheal is staying at Minas house until his Dad getys home from the hospital. They paint pictures of Skellig and Mina tells Micheal how annoyed Skellig was that he had abandoned him for school. (35) Micheal sits at the table with Mina waiting for his Dad to get home. They started drawing again, Micheal drew Ernie Myers, Coot and Skellig.The phone rang soon after, it was Micheals dad. When he had heard what his dad said he dropped the phone and whispered "They're operating on her heart."

(36) Micheal and Mina are out side. They talk about how skellig makes owl pelits and how there are some things in life that your not ment to know. They talked about the fledglings in the nest and about how half the time there happy and half the time sad. Micheal trys to find his happy side but can't. Mina tells him he's brave and his dad's car pulls up. the fear just gets worse. (37) Micheal can't sleep that night and in the morning has a fight with his dad over going to school. They yell but in the end they just crying in each outyhers arms. Micheal dosen't go to school instead he stays home with Mina and watches the fledglings totter around on the ground for the first time. His dad comes over and looks at them befor he drives off and Micheal is left with Mina.
